Healthy, high performance schools for everyone, not just our newest schools.

Improving the way we operate and maintain existing schools where every child learns and every teacher teaches will advance learning and save millions.

Green Existing Schools Toolkit

The scope of possible initiatives that schools and school districts can undertake to be greener can be overwhelming. The Center for Green Schools has a few resources that can help you organize your thoughts and your efforts to improve school operations. Whether you are just getting started or want to pursue LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (LEED EB: O&M) certification, the rating system can provide a great checklist for you and your colleagues to figure out where you stand and what you want to do next.
