Today, USGBC unveils Learning Lab, an online education platform for K–12 teachers to find a robust selection of sustainability curricula. Learning Lab provides teachers and school leaders with comprehensive, project- and STEM-based curriculum (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), encouraging student leadership, sustainability literacy and real-world action. This launch is an important step toward realizing USGBC’s goal of supporting sustainability education at all stages of a learner’s life.
In response to a key recommendation from the 2014 National Action Plan for Educating for Sustainability to develop digital delivery channels for high-quality curriculum, USGBC created Learning Lab and tested it in a pilot phase that included 1,400 educators from 26 countries. In celebration of the platform’s launch, we are offering free access to educators through August 2016. Please visit learninglab.usgbc.org and sign up to take advantage of these great sustainability education resources, or attend an upcoming webinar to learn more and take a tour of the platform.
