USGBC has partnered with The Nature Conservancy’s Nature Works Everywhere program to educate and equip K–12 students for a more sustainable future. The Nature Conservancy is participating as a founding partner in USGBC’s newest sustainability education initiative, Learning Lab. Learning Lab is an online education platform for K–12 teachers and school leaders that provides comprehensive, project- and STEM-based curriculum encouraging student leadership, sustainability literacy and real-world action.

Nature Works Everywhere provides high-quality lesson plans and videos created by The Nature Conservancy and its 600 scientists to help students learn the science behind how nature works and how we can help keep nature running strong. Lessons such as “How Dirt Works” and “Sustainable Cities: Nature-based Solutions in Urban Design” give teachers, students and families everything they need to start exploring and understanding nature’s fantastic factory, including videos, digital tools and hands-on lessons that align to national standards.

In celebration of Learning Lab’s recent launch, USGBC is offering free access to educators through August 2016.
