Celebrating green building in New Orleans is like being in Memphis on Elvis’s birthday—and you can bet it will be just as big of a party.

USGBC and the Center for Green Schools have been partnering with the city, its schools and its volunteers for years, and we can’t wait to celebrate all they've accomplished. From building tours, education sessions, networking in the expo hall, and every po’ boy in between, here are a few of the places you can catch up with the Center for Green Schools when you’re in the Crescent City!

Center for Green Schools at Greenbuild

Green Apple booth: Stop by the Green Apple Booth (Expo Hall #131) to meet with members of the Center team and representatives from our Green Apple partners, hear about the highlights of Green Apple Day of Service, and find out how you, your company and your community can get more involved with green schools in the coming year.

Education sessions: Greenbuild is a time for learning from the best in the business, with dozens of education sessions to choose from, including 24 that will feature stories from K-12 and higher education projects, organizations teams and volunteers. A few of my colleagues (and yours truly) will be taking to various stages throughout the week, and you can find all the details on every session by market sector. Be sure to register early, as space is always limited! A few of our favorites to check out:

LEED Certification Work Zone: Looking to take advantage of all these green building brains under one (enormous) roof? Stop by the LEED Certification Work Zone to meet LEED reviewers and discuss your projects. Explore a variety of topics with green building experts, reviewers and USGBC staff. Advanced appointments available, walk-ins welcome!

TalentFX: Young professionals and students are invited to stop by TalentFXto join their peers and hear from some stellar speakers. Confession: TalentFX doesn't really have a schools-specific focus—it’s just too cool to leave out of this post.

We hope to see you in the Big Easy! Register for Greenbuild today, and we’ll see you there.
