Absenteeism
Using 12 million health records and satellite-modeled PM2.5, this study analyzed absenteeism at 10,358 schools. A 10 μg/m³ PM2.5 rise was linked to a 4.1% increase in absences, with stronger effects in poorly built schools, highlighting infrastructure gaps.
